Can anyone reference a SRND/CCO article on best practice for binding the RTP
 audio stream?

For small branch offices I've always used same L3 interface (voice vlan) as
the 7900 IP Phones for binding the RTP audio stream (versus using a Loopback
), this way you don't have to route (if source was loopback) any RTP packets
for local calls out the local POTS PRI interface. Use the same interface fo
r SRST under "call-manager-fallback, ip source-address x.y.z.a" and CCMAdmin
 > SRST

mgcp bind media source-interface FastEthernet0/0.408
