Hi ---

Using CCM 4.01

I have a question regarding how to modify the Display (Internal Caller
ID) field on multiple lines.

I have a number of phones that are not configured with this info -

What I'd like to do is in Excel, create a list of all the DNs that I'd
like to add a Display entry for,
and then write a BAT to mod the lines referred to as DNs.

What I can do easily in Excel is make this in two columns

6604	Mary Smith
6605	John Adams

How would I convert that info into a BAT file for 4.01 which would mod
all the lines that I mention in Column 1?

I know just enough about BAT to know that it might involve lots of extra
commas where fields would be blank...

but I don't know much more than that...

Last time I used BAT, it was to provision phones from scratch, not
modify existing phones...

And I don't see where BAT can mod the Display field, at least not from
the GUI....
..but maybe from the commandline, BAT could do this and update that
field on all phones I specify the DN of?

thanks, Tim
