I am currently using WSAD 5 + Portlet Toolkit 5,
I have started the testing environment, however, I find
that under: Administration -> Portal User Interface ->
Manage Pages -> I cannot add existing portlet to that page.

Is that a limitation of the testing environment?
Where can I find all the limitations of the testing environment?
I would be very grateful if I can get your valuable help. Thanks alot.

What do you mean by "I cannot add existing portlet to that page"?
Do you mean there is no admin portlet to do it? Or, did you get
error from admin portlet?
And, which portlet do you refer with "existing portlet"?
I don't think Test Environment has any Portlet installed, other
than the one you created in WSAD.

ardatdat, did you resolve your problem? I seem to be having the same problem
after installing the portal server. Can't add any portlets to any page. Whe
n I click on the "Add portlets" button, the page just refreshes - no error m
essages. Thanks.

I'm also having problems with this setup. I've created a couple of portlets
and can see them working on the 'My Portal' page. Clicking the
'Administration' link at the top left of the 'My Portal' page brings me to a
page with an administration navigation bar on the left. Clicking the link to
'Manage Pages' shows a page with nothing in the main content area.
No error is shown in the console for the server. An error is shown in
<WSAD_INSTALL_DIR>\runtimes\portal_v50\log\wps_2004.05.17-10.15.42.log:

2004.05.17 10:26:49.703 E
com.ibm.wps.pe.om.definition.impl.WebApplicationDefinitionImpl
getServletContext
PEPC0003E: ServletContext lookup for /wps/PA_1_0_36 returned the portals
context. It has to be a different one.

2004.05.17 10:26:49.703 E
com.ibm.wps.pe.pc.legacy.servlet.ServletResponseWrapper sendError()
PEPC1039E: Error occured in Portlet: 404 File not found:
/!ut/p/_s.7_0_A/7_0_3S

Similar errors are shown for all pages in the administration group of pages.
Any pointers to getting this working would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Rob

To get access to the pages you have to edit the server configuration. Open
the server perspective in WSAD and double click on WebSphere Portal v5.0
Test Environment. On the portal tab click the check box 'Enable base
portlets for portal administration and customization'.
