Hi James,

ok then it is as expected.
You were looking at the placeholder collection - but custom placeholder
controls are not placeholders.
They are just the rendering engine for a placeholder.

You would need to check the controls collection of your page to see if it
contains your custom placeholder control.
Or you could use a custom property to flag the postings that should use the
validation.
