So, I am trying it again... this seems to always fail for some reason, but I
keep trying it...

Anyway, I am upgrading IPCC 3.1 to 4.0 and during the backup process, it is
locked up on Loading 4.0 License...

It has been sitting there for 30 minutes now, how long should I give it?

This part usually takes a few seconds... before a reboot, I was getting an
out of memory error when I pointed the license at the new path....

OK, so I uninstalled IPCC 3.1 and tried installing IPCC 4.0(4) and right
when you choose the LDAP location I hit next and get this error:

Can't bind to LDAP server...

OK, I figure I have the wrong password, so I change it following these
instructions:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td...5.htm#wp1026493

No luck... I have restarted the entire cluster, I can't log in to DC
Directory with Directory Manager and the new password, and I can't install
IPCC...

What am I missing?

CCM is 4.1(3)sr4rd?

OK, I changed the password in the DirectoryConfiguration.ini in c:\dcdsrvr
directory, still no luck...

Weird thing now is that when I try to run ccmpwdchanger, and login with the
new password, I get "Invalid Credentials"

But if I type in some bogus, crazy password, I get: "The Administrator
Password entered doesn't match with the password of the currently
configured administrator"

I am lost... What am I missing, and yes I did this on both Pub and Sub...

OK, so for everyone out there who has ever run into a problem where the DC
Directory password is lost, and needs to be reset, there is a much easier
way to do it...

I am attaching a script that cisco TAC gave me that resets the DC Directory
password to ciscocisco

The script and instructions are attached.

The annoying thing was being on the phone with TAC for three hours before
they sent me this script (which took 9 seconds to run and reset the
password).

It needs to be run on all nodes in the CCM cluster.
