Quick question for Backup Exec 11d. I am going from v8.5 to 11d and
BE using a SQL db is new to me. Anyhow, I am going to install v11d on
a Windows 2000 machine that is running SQL Server 2000 already. The
SQL server is running a default instance and second named instance.

What I am worried about is that if I select BE to use the SQL Server
already on the machine, does BE create a NEW named instance or does it
just drop in a new table to whatever server I select. I guess I am
just hesitant of pointing at my SQL Server and have it overwrite
something that it should not. Someone want to help me out here.

AFAIK it just creates a new database using the SQL Server instance you
pointed it to.

Gruss,
