Acronis True Image Workstation hangs when recovering an image in 2
circumstances:

1. If I try to recover an active partition C drive image from
Windows,
it reboots, goes into a DOS version of Acronis and analyses my
partitions. It analyses a couple of drives (I assume my physical C
and
logical E and G) then freezes at analyzing partition 0-0 (possibly in
my logical D drive). I have to switch off the PC.

2. If I recover using an Acronis boot up CD and go into the DOS
Acronis, I can choose the safe Acronis or the full Acronis. If I
choose "safe", I can select an image on any of my hard drives and it
works fine. My CD drive doesn't show up (I assume because it is in
safe mode). If I choose "full", after a lot of disc chugging, the
full
version loads up and I have access to my CD/DVD drive but if I try to
restore any image (including an image from another hard drive), I get
the same problem as above.

All my disc drives are healthy and I am positive the problem is not
with them.

I really like Acronis True Image but I can only restore images stored
on a hard drive. I want to restore aimages from DVD as well.
