Hi all.

I plan to do a net install of Debian on a small
server.  There will be 3 hard drives and a cdrom
in the initial configuration.  After the install I
would like to remove the cdrom and replace it
with another hard drive so there will be four
hard drives total.  The install will end up with a
command line interface.  Samba is the only
software needed to share out the disk space.
My question is once I swap the cdrom for a
hd what commands might I need to partition
and format it so I can use it as a fourth share?
The motherboard is an MSI, the cpu is a
P3-733 and the four hd's are 15G each.  It
will just be used to store ISO images.

Also, if you have a floppy disk drive and are doing a network install, you
can do it from the floppy and not worry about the cdrom.

I use gparted for that sort of stuff. There are USB CDs. Why not break
down and get a new 160gb disk for $80? It would make life a lot easier.

I'm using throw away parts to keep the cost down (don't want to spend
any money).  I like the install from floppy idea.  I think I'll look into
that.
