We send a lot of email to our clients but emails are getting queue in the
SMTP server for a long time. Is there a way to improve the throught of the
smtp server to increase the aomount of emails send per second? Is there a wa
y
to multithread the SMTP service?

Thanks,
Omar

I'm not sure this is possible. You might want to check at
http://msexchange.org, this is a good resource for Exchange type things.

Steve,

Thanks for your reply, I'd checked these articles and could not find a
helpfull information for SMTP outbound optimal configuration. I'm not using
Exchange to send these emails, I'm just using a standalone SMTP server. Is
there any hints for SMTP outbound setting that would give me the best
thoughput performace?

Thanks,
Omar

The SMTPSvc deployed in IIS is supported by the Exchange team. Without
trying another 3rd party mail server, it wouldn't hurt to review some of the
tips related to the registry for increasing threads. This comes with a
healthy warning, you should try this type of stuff on a VM or test box.
If you try on your production box, I take no responsibility.

Once you have configured with optimal settings, you could deploy these on
your outbound server. That is the best advice I can offer. Also, you can
check out http://msexchange.org, this is an independent site dedicated to
email.
