Hi,

I am trying to host a beta site for a client that needs to be secured with
SSL.  We have setup a DNS entry pointing to my server and have the site up
and running.  "myserver.clientsdomain.com".  Yes, the IP is static.

The problem I am having is trying to use the cert he sent me.

They have a wildcard cert, "*.clientsdomain.com" that I ?guess? works for
any server that can be surfed to via the clients DNS.  I am trying to use it
on my server but I have not been able to successfully use it.

They sent me:
1.  Wildcard cert as a p7b file with no private key in the file.
2.  The private key.

I have been able to import the cert in the Certificates snap in, and assign
it too the site in IIS.  However I have never found a way to add the private
key.  So, when I try to connect using https I get an SChannel error
regarding the lack of a private key:

The SSL server credential's certificate does not have a private key
information property attached to it. This most often occurs when a
certificate is backed up incorrectly and then later restored. This message
can also indicate a certificate enrollment failure.

Not a huge surprise.

So my question is either:
1.  How to I simply enter the private key they gave me, is this even
possible?

or

2.  Can they use export/backup from their server to create and send me a
file with the key in it.  Since it is a wildcard this is ok, or no.

or

3.  Am I clueless or what? :-)
