When i rolled back i had replaced the the modified one with the old(default)
 copy of the ConfigService.properties. But this had the properties commented
 out. So the WPSConfig did not update the properties in the environment.

So this is what i did and it worked..

This time i changed the property value with the old (default) value and ran 
WPSConfig update-properties. And restarted the portal server. This worked.

So lesson learned. By default all properties are commented out in property f
iles but default values are set in environment. Once you remove the comment 
then you dont go back to commenting them again assuming it would take the de
fault value for that proper
ty. You are better off setting the default value.
