Hi all,

Strange one here. I have MCMS locally which is fine and another MCMS
on another subnet that I can access. The other MCMS uses a different
database that I would like to use in the template explorer as I don't
have direct access to the same sql server. I created ISA rules and
can use the DCA to connect to the database, but template explorer
doesn't work because it tries to use the wrong domain to access the
templates. Can I force template explorer to use a different login
somehow?

Thanks,

Chandy

Hi Chandy,

it is not possible to use template explorer against a different server
machine.
It can only work locally.
If you have configured your local MCMS to connect to the desired database
using the DCA the credentials of the currently logged in your is used to
connect to MCMS.
This user needs to have at least template designer rights.

Cheers,
Stefan
