Seems there are a several caveats around DST2007, any expectations from
cisco on when a rollup with everything needed in the form of a SR4e
could arrive?

For 7971s every site is hitting CSCsg81459, CSCsg22098. The fix is in
ES100 from Cisco. I'd prefer to hold off on ESs in general and wait for
a SR, but how long until SR4e?

Should I bother waiting for the next 4.1(3) SR or go ahead with ES100?

My understanding from TAC was no more SR's for 4.1.3. Upgrade to ES 100
or go the way of either 4.2, 4.3, or 5.1.

=)

Maybe the DST 2007 Field Notices should have recommended customers
upgrade to 4.2, 4.3 or 5.1 path versus applying the updates in the Field
Notices. They would have saved some labor if the below is true.

Applying a ES isn't the preferred fix due to lack of regression testing,
etc.

My understanding from TAC was no more SR's for 4.1.3.
Upgrade to ES 100 or go the way of either 4.2, 4.3, or 5.1.

=)

Subject: [cisco-voip] Timeframe for a 4.1(3)SR4e?

Seems there are a several caveats around DST2007, any
expectations from cisco on when a rollup with everything needed in the
form of a SR4e could arrive?

For 7971s every site is hitting CSCsg81459, CSCsg22098.
The fix is in ES100 from Cisco. I'd prefer to hold off on ESs in general
and wait for a SR, but how long until SR4e?

Should I bother waiting for the next 4.1(3) SR or go
ahead with ES100?

Last I heard there were some debates going on over whether there =

would be an SR5 for 4.1(3). Before the DST issues there were no =

plans for another SR but those appear to have changed. Currently FCS =

for SR5 should be in June.

...interesting.

I guess as long as they provide a fix, that's all that's important.

Since 4.1 has not been EOL'ed how can they not make any more SRs for it?
