Is collecting SNMP and WMI data from Call Mgr servers fully supported by
Cisco. We want to start collecting information about our servers but want
to make sure we do not introduce anything that is not TAC supported.

Any application that has not been certified with cisco to work with the
CCM would be unsupported. If this tool was causing issue with CCM TAC
would ask that it be stopped.

CUOM as other 3rd party supported applications uses the WMI interface to
subscribe for events, etc... Pulling event logs from the servers can
cause high CPU on the server it is being pulled from the server:

CSCsh75491 <http://cdets.cisco.com/apps/goto?identifier=CSCsh75491>

I would recommend AXL/Soap or the SNMP mibs as a interface to pull the
performance data rather than WMI.

Mike

Does CUOM use SNMP and WMI? When I tested it a while back I remember
having to set up the SNMP strings in order to get it to work.
