Hello.

I have a remote site whose cisco phones sit behind an existing Avaya
pbx. Calls are placed / received between the pbx and a cisco 3825 via
T1 cross over cable. This works fine. However, whenever a call placed
from the pbx to an IP phone covers to unity voice mail, Unity can not be
heard although it appears to answer. (the call connects). Unity is
located remotely, however IP to IP calls work fine when covering to VM
for the same phone. Anyone have any ideas?

Check routing with Unity. Does it have the correct default gateway?
Does the default gateway have a route to the phones? Can the phones
ping unity?

Thank you everyone for your input. Just to close this out I wanted to
provide the solution.

Apparently the 3825 "loopback" IP was not set up to route correctly
between my Unity server and the remote 3825. (The WAN, and port side
IP's worked, but apparently the voice pieces needs the loopback address
on the 3825 to route.

Once this was added, the problem vanished. Again, thank you everyone
for the help!
