I have Biztalk and SQL server on different machines with
a firewall between them. There is no address translation
and so I have added a map in the winnt\system32
\driver\etc\hosts file to map from the machine name to the
appropriate IP.

The Management database can be accessed, but on sending in
documents to be mapped I get a series of errors as follows:

"failed to initialise connection to InterchangeSQ,
distributed transaction error"
"the root transaction wanted to commit but transaction
aborted"

what is causing these errors? why can biztalk not connect
to the InterchangeSQ database when it can connect to the
InterchangeBTM?
