By clicking the "Add or Edit Image" button on the top left corner of a
SingleImagePlaceholderControl, a new window is opened with options to
Insert a Shared Image or a Local Image. (We always disable local
images.) The user then has to click on the Insert Shared Image link,
which takes them to the root of the resource gallery. Then the user
has to drill-down to the appropriate gallery in order to find the
resource they are looking for.

We have many templates that contain multiple image placeholders. This
drill-down process is extremely time-consuming, and very repetitive.
It's bad enough for us in the same office building, but our users
overseas are not only having the pain of the lengthy drill-down
process, but also the added slowness of accessing the servers over VPN
or a very long-distance WAN. I can just imagine that it's
excruciatingly slow for them.

Is there a way to either:
a) Remember the last gallery the user drilled-down to so that he/she
doesn't have to go through the entire drill-down process every single
time?
b) Override the default link for the Add or Edit Image button and
specify a gallery to open?

Basically, I'm either looking for a way to specify a "default" gallery
(customizable based on the template it sits on), or I'm looking for a
custom control where I can set a gallery property, effectively doing
the same thing.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,

you can configure a default resource gallery for each channel using Site
Manager.

Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks Stefan.
