i need to decide about an e-mail server so i downloaded the win2003 server, 
as it gives me e-mail and IIS server.
I installed it and worked fine, i can send and receive e-mail from local use
rs and  send messages to others.
The problem is i don't have an MX record, i have to log to my ISP with pop3 
and collect all messages and then distribute them to my local users. Is ther
e a way to do this with the SMTP POP3 in win2003 server or only with a MX re
cord.

Your ISP is currently running your mail server.  If you want to run
your own, you need to have a MX record for your server instead of the
ISP's in your DNS.

You can simply have the mail sent  to your POP3 server and ignore the
ISP's.  But you need to configure POP, DNS, Routing and firewall rules
correctly to do this.

It's almost impossible to relaibly receive email at a POP server
without a static IP.  Too many services simply refuse mail from a
dynamic IP.
