Which version of 5.1?

Cuzthe first release of 5.1 didn't mark DSCP correctly so, that could
beyour problem...

the quality of calls across our Qsig gateway. Our current set up is Call
Manager 5.1.1b with a 2811 MGCP QSIG gateway connected to an Ericsson

and2 x PVDM2-16 dsp's

 

We have 26 branch offices with IP phones but over half of the staff at
out HQ are still using Ericsson phones, the issues have started
occurring between calls on the Ericsson phones and our Branch offices
and users are experiencing poor quality calls with interference and
echo.

 

We never had these issues running on 4.1(3) with the same gateway. 

 

It's not happening all the time but enough for users to raise the issue.

 

Has anyone come across any similar issues with 5.1 and Qsig gateways or
does anyone know if there any bugsrelating to this, or if anyone could
point me in th e direction of troubleshooting this I would be most
grateful.

I'm getting ready to do my CM 4.1 to 5.1 upgrade and one of the things I
notices (I'll have to find the doc on CCO again) was that VGW's needed
to be running IOS 12.4(11)T or better.  Could this be the issue?

Could be, but I thought that 12.4 11 T was required for SRST as you
needed version 4.0 with 5.1, we upgraded all our remote sites to 12.4 11
T but didn't do our voice gateways without SRST, can anyone confirm if
this should be done.
