I recommend you to make a backup of your Agent folder before you
start.

- Download the setup file

- Within the Windows Explorer locate the download folder and execute
the file with a double click.
- Click at 'Next'.
- Click at 'I accept the agreement'.
- Click at 'Next'.

- Click at 'Install'.
- Click at 'Next'.
- Click at 'Finish'.

# Now the installation is done, continuing with the configuration,
OmniMix first:

- Start Forté Agent by double clicking on its desktop icon.

- Within Agent: Select menu 'Options' / 'Inbound Email'.
- Within Agent: Click at the 'System' tab.
- Within Agent: Copy the 'POP Server' value.
- Within OmniMix: Click at the 'Mail P' tab.
- Within OmniMix: Paste the value into 'Host'.
# Configure Authentication parameters accordingly:
- Copy Agent's 'Username' to OmniMix's 'User'.
- Set OmniMix's 'Passwd' accordingly.
- Copy Agent's 'Use APOP password encryption' status to OmniMix's

- Within Agent: Select menu 'Options' / 'User and System Profile'.

# OmniMix NNTP
- Within Agent: Copy the 'News Server' value.
- Within OmniMix: Click at the 'News' tab.

- Within Agent: With 'News Server Login' - 'No login is required':
-   Within OmniMix: Uncheck 'Auth.'.

-   Copy Agent's 'Username' to OmniMix's 'User'.

- Within Agent: Enter 'omnimix' for 'Username'.

- Within Agent: Click at the 'System' tab.
- Within Agent: Enter 'localhost' for 'News Server'.

# Agent SMTP
- Within Agent: Click at 'Send email messages with SMTP'.
- Within Agent: Enter 'localhost' for 'Email Server'.
- Within Agent: Click at the 'SMTP Authentication...' button.
- Within Agent: Click at 'Login with a username and password'.
- Within Agent: Click at 'Use POP username and password'.
- Within Agent: Click at 'Cancel'.
- Within Agent: Click at 'Cancel'.

# Agent POP3
- Within Agent: Select menu 'Options' / 'Inbound Email'.

- Within OmniMix: Click at the 'Update Stata Data' button.
* Watch the 'Log' list on the right side while the statistics data are
downloaded from the Internet.

# First dummy message:

- Within OmniMix: Click at the 'Misc' tab.
- Within OmniMix: Click at the 'Dummy' tab.
- Within OmniMix: Click at the 'Send Dummy Message' button.
* Watch the 'Log' list on the opposite side while the message is sent.

# First anon email:

- Within OmniMix: Click at the 'Anon' tab.

Email coming from Agent should be sent directly or directed to the
remailer network dependent on the 'Always use Mixmaster for Mail'
flag.

# First anon posting:

News postings coming from Agent should be sent directly or directed to
the remailer network dependent on the 'Always use Mixmaster for News'
flag.

Unfortunately this Agent version offers no way to add custom headers
in order to remote control OmniMix, which increases the risk of
revealing your identity by accident. So be careful and use the
'Simulate' button before sending a message. More secure than
de-/activating the Mixmaster path again and again would be to assign a
separate Agent instance to your anonymity tasks.

Please report any inconsistency.
