In the past, the ispell, aspell, and myspell dictionaries for Brazilian
Portuguese were generated from the br.ispell source package.  Today, only
ispell is generated from it.  Unfortunately, development of br.ispell seems
to have stopped.

I agree with you that it would be better to generate the three dictionaries
from a single, up-to-date word list, but I am not willing to commit myself
with such development, due to time constraint.  On the other hand, I am
willing to maintain the separate packages developed by different upstream
authors.
