hi
our users have 2 MCMS servers A and B, users are working fine with
server A, but when user acess server B and try to create a new page or
edit any pages, instead of HTML editor there is a red "X".
our users are not administrator, IE 6, 2 servers are both win2003 .NET
framework 1.1 and almost have same settings.
is it about the user permission? i have tried to register the dll
which mentioned at
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...>
MCMS+2002+-+(complete)+FAQ.htm#51C0CE4B-FC57-454C-BAAE-12C09421B57B
but get the 80070005 error. for some reasons we cannot change user's
right to install the HTML editor.
i confused if it requires user rights, why user can edit pages on
server A?

any body ideas?
thanks.

Hi,

it sounds as if the two MCMS server machines are not on the same patch
level.
The Active X control is specific for a specific service pack or hotfix level
of MCMS.
You need to ensure that both servers are on the same servicepack and hotfix
level.

Cheers,
Stefan
