Recently went to FF 2.0.0.5.

One thing I notice under Tools > Options > Advanced, for Cache:

When I click on the cache ''CLEAR NOW'' button, in older FF versions,
the button would fade to inactive after the cache was cleared out. In
this version, the button stays active. Anyone else seeing this? I
liked it the old way -- at least I knew the action had in fact been
completed.

Thoughts/comments?

Quite correct. In the newer versions the <Clear Now> button is always
available, giving no indication of whether or not it has been used recently.

To provide a semblance of the old button, use the checkmark
X Ask me before clearing private data

this provides you with a dialogue that allows you to specify what
private data to delete (same as the dialogue under <Settings> ) and
provides you with a button labelled <Clear private data now>
clicking on that button performs the indicated action AND the dialogue
box disappears indicating the action has been performed.

Rest assured, once you press the button the action (as dictated by the
<Settings> tab) has been completed. The workaround above does take two
clicks instead of just one, but does provide a visible indication.
