Hello Guys,

Good day!

Just like to ask if is it possible to migrate a newly installed websphere po
rtal with cloudscape database on it to a existing DB2 database with already
lots of data on it?

the scenario is like i have two websphere portal but only one DB2 database.
meaning two portals accessing only one source of data.

is this possible? and how?

As far as I know, there is a configuration setting which will prevent
that your cloudscape data is written to the DB/2 database. This would
mean that no data from your cloudscape is written to your DB/2. Have a
look at this link and check parameter "dbtype.DbSafeMode"

I don't believe it's supported to connect 2 Portals to the same db that
are not in a cluster. If they are in a cluster you should be able to
follow the clustering guide on the support site to connect the 2nd node
to the db
