Description:

When I start/stop WebSphere portal via command ./stopServer.sh I get the fol
lowing errors:

1.	When I start the WebSphere Portal via command ./startServer.sh I can no longer acces
s to the portal http://mycompany.com:10038/wps/portal.
2.	When stop the WebSphere Portal using the command ./stopServer.sh WebSpher
e Portal despite I enter the correct user (admin) name and password will giv
e me a credential error

Finally, DB2 does not start automatically after the system has been rebooted
. Despite I try to start the DB2 manually via user wpdb2ins and command db2s
tart and eventually start the Application Server and Portal server via the a
bove mentioned commands I w
ill not be able to access the portal. I will forever get the error 404: Init
ialization of one or more services failed.

Please help!!

I assume you configured portal to run on a DB/2 database. Since you
wrote you cannot even start your DB/2, I assume this is the reason for
your portal startup problem. You normally get this error when a portal
service cannot start properly during portal startup. I assume your
portal database service cannot start because your DB/2 is not started.
You should try to figure out what the problem is with your DB/2. Once
you can successfully start the database, I assume portal will start up
properly as well.
