Hello, everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to setup a Cisco
7960 so when it is picked up it dials a pre-defined phone number or ext.

Thank you,

This is referred to as a PLAR in cisco docs. Say you want to create a PLAR t
o your security services department which has a DN of 555 Here's how you do
it.
1.. Create partition, e.g. PLAR_to_SecurityServices_PT
2.. Create a calling search space, e.g. PLAR_to_SecurityServices_CSS
3.. Add PLAR_to_SecurityServices_PT as the ONLY partition to PLAR_to_Securit
yServices_CSS calling search space.
4.. Create a blank translation in the PLAR_to_SecurityServices_PT partition
with the appropriate calling search space to access the final destination wh
ich you will add as the Called Party Transform Mask, e.g. 555
5.. Configure a DN with the calling search space PLAR_to_SecurityServices_CS
S.
6.. Lift up handset on the DN and voila. If not the primary line, you will h
ave to press the line button.
