Hi NG!

I'm playing around with Portal 6.0.0.1 a bit.

In Portal 5.1, I can define a fixed width (either a number or a percent-valu
e) for portlets. Via "edit page layout -> Show Layout Tools -> ..."

How can I achieve this with Portal 6.0.0.1?

Regards, Herbert

It's a bit hidden, but it's still there. In the Edit Layout portlet, you
have to select "configure". This will display some configuration options
for the edit layout portlet. One of them is "Show toggle link for 'show
layout tools / hide layout tools'". Check this checkbox and you will get
the option to set the width as you described in portal 5.1

Hi Oliver!

Thanks for your answer.
Maybe I'm too blind to see.

If I follow the steps, you described, there is still no possibility to
define a width.

In Portal 5.1 there is a text "Not set" and a double-arrow. I can click eith
er of both to enter a width. With Portal 6.0 there is no text "Not set" and
no double-arrow. No matter if I click "show layout tools" or not.

???

Hm... do you see the "double arrow" in the Edit Layout portlet? If I
click on this, I get a popup window asking to specify a width.
Let me know if this works for you as well.

The double arrow is only displayed for a column container. So if your
page consists of just a row container, then this might explain why you
are not able to change the width.

Hi Oliver!

- In the "Edit Layout"-portlet, I selected "configure".

- Then I checked the checkbox "Show toggle link for 'show
layout tools / hide layout tools'".

- Then I clicked on "Show layout tools"

The result is, that I do not see any "double arrow" in the Edit Layout portl
et.

There is nothing, with that I can change the width of my portlet.

Ahh...that's it! Thanks very much! I try to change it to column-containers!
