Hi!

I can't get chinese characters in file names to work in the IIS FTP. I've
installed the asian language pack on the server, and it works just fine to
have chinese file names locally on the server. BUT, whenever I try to tranfe
r
a file to the server from another computer, I just get garbage characters.

Anyone who knows what the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, but server and client end must have the same language pack support.
yet, by design IIS ftp 6 doesn't support utf-8 or non ascii charset yet.

Thanks! Just as I suspected then. Perhaps IIS ftp 7 will support it.

I haven't tested that part with IIS 7 ftp (the new separate downlaod at
iis.net)
