Hi MJ,
Do you intend to build a development environment?
Due to Vista is a consumer operation system like Windows XP, we do not
support installing many enterprise edition softwares like SQL 2005 ent on
Vista. Also as I know, installing BizTalk 2004/2006 on Vista is not
supported currently.
However BizTalk server 2006 R2 is the official version of BizTalk which is
going to be supported. The CTP version of BizTalk server 2006 R2 is
released and you can donwload that and install:
http://connect.microsoft.com/Downlo....aspx?SiteID=65
Therefore if you want to build a dev machine on Vista, I'd like to suggest
you use some alternative way like setting up virtual machine. Otherwise
please consider using a server OS like Windows 2003 or Windows XP.
Please let me know if you have any concern on this.
Have a nice day.
Sincerely,
WenJun Zhang

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at:
