Hi
here goes-this is my problem
I have IIS 6.0, FP 2003, FP Server Extensions 2002 and Microsoft Sharepoint
Administration on Windows Server 2003. I have made 4 virtual servers on the
main server. When I extend these servers with the extensions, I cannot brows
e them on the browsers. I get the error: Page not found. When I unistall the
extensions, I can browse to those servers, but I cannot create a website us
ing FP 2003.
Please help ASAP, as I need to complete a FP project for a client.
Thanks

If you are extending them, you are converting them to WSS sites. Have
you set the WSS initial permissions? Have you excluded those addresses
from WSS management? I'm not sure what the latter really means, but it
is something that one has to do to get direct access to the sites.

Not something that I ever attempted to memorize. When you extended the
site, it left you at a page with a list of things to do. One of them
was set the permissions. Go back to the SharePoint Central
Administration, select your site, and choose to manage it. That should
get you back to where you can see the permissions that you can set.
Remember, this is a journey of personal discovery, a jigsaw puzzle, a
crossword puzzle, and an anagram all combined. Have fun.

Have you checked your default page settings in IIS? Also, in your sharepoint
, make sure anonymous access is on. Also, check the actual folder permission
s on the server and be sure that the computername_IUSR acct has read access.
