I just set this up and can now host a local web site via http://localhost/index.ht
ml and the FP extensions work OK.
Now, I understand that my local server can also serve remote clients, so t
hat I can show off my web site, as it develops. I can't find any instruction
s on how this is done. Can you direct me to where I can find out how to do i
t?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Only if you have a fixed IP address from your ISP and a DNS pointing to your
 URL
