I have been having problems with authors/editors editing content, then savin
g and exiting and losing all of their changes. I heard somewhere there was
a 15 minute timeout, and their session would end if they didn't hit save oft
en enough. Is there any wa
y to extend this time period?

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

there is an ASP.NET (configured in web.config) and CMS (configured in SCA)
session timeout. It is 30 minutes by default.
What is the error message your authors experience?

Cheers,
Stefan.

2 different messages,
the first - sometimes when you click on "switch to edit site", or "save and
exit" you get a "page cannot be displayed" message, if you hit refresh the p
osting then shows up, but without changes if "save and exit".
the second - no warning, just see posting without changes that were made aft
er clicking on "save and exit"

thanks for your time,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

the first thing is a known IE bug:

The second: not sure. Maybe related.

Cheers,
Stefan
