Hi
I am a newbie to Biztalk. Currently evaluating Biztalk 2004.

Can I define and run an orchestration without the overhead of the Message
Box?

Ideally I want to have,
1. The adapter and inbound pipeline to get the request (primary interest in
MSMQ adapter)
2. Process it in the orchestration based on the business logic
> Invoke Business Rules (rules engine)
> Invoke ther orchestrations
3. The adapter and outbound pipeline to send the response (primary interest
in MSMQ adapter)

Can this be used as a real time application?

Thanks,
Sanath

p.s. : I have posted the question in both general and orchestration news
group as I wasn't sure which one to be the right place. Sorry for the
inconvenience.

You can do just what you are trying to, but you will still be using the
message box. All messages coming into biztalk go into the message box
(published) and then have subscriptions (send ports and orchestrations) that
get the messages.

In terms of the real time question, it depends on the needs of your
application (volume etc.) and how much hardware ($$$) you are willing to
throw at it.
