We have scripts that will not work correctly using
Windows Server 2003, IIS 6. The very same scripts work
correctly on Windows 2000 Server, IIS 5. Is there a new
version of Index Server in Windows Server 2003? Any
ideas what could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Rich

Given your description of the errors you encountered, it looks like
there's no way to help you.

For example, my wife's car won't start. My car will. Is there a new
version of gas in my wife's car? Or could it be that my wife's car
was shipped with the battery disconnected?

Post the errors and tell us what scripts you're using. We're going to
assume you enabled Indexing Services as a web service of course. And
ASP if you use that.

Jeff

Do you have the Index Server web service extension enabled?
Are they asp or idq files? What is the error that you are seeing?

Thank You

Hello,

Don't know if you have solved your problem but the following document helped
 me.

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=315122

Win2k3 server seems to have loads of new features which allow you to prohibi
t processing of certain types of web content. A vanilla install of the OS s
eems to have processing of index server prohibited by default. Once I enabl
ed that from within the MMC
snap-in for IIS all went back to normal.

Regards,
Pete
