When updating lines on some new 7961 phones I am seeing a large delay (1
minute) for the phone to reset. Is this normal or am I possibly hitting
a bug?

Load file is SCCP41.8-2-2SR1S.

Just my phone. I am updating the CSS of the line which causes the phone
to reset. I don't remember it taking this long even when I first
installed the phone. I just reset it and it took 1 minute to come back.
Anyone seen this before?

Our load file is SCCP41.8-2-1S. When you say a delay of about a minute,
are you resetting one phone at a time or are you selecting a group from
the results of a search on the Find and List Phone Page.

Is it just your phone? Are all phones on the same switch?

Which step is taking the longest?

It might be there is some sort of network problem, maybe delays in DHCP
or TFTP?

You might need to sniff the traffic and see what problems there are.

Johnny is right,

It is simple to detect,

In the 7961, check the network setting and check the IP address of the
DHCP server as well the TFTP servers IP address. Reset the phone and
check during the reset process which is taking the most time, the DHCP
or the TFP loading on the phone. From there you could start to
troubleshoot.
