Unity not failing over to CM sub ?

CallManager 4.1(3) Publisher and Subscriber and Unity 4.0(4)

Today CM publisher went down, still trying to figure out why but it
seems to be related to a failed drive. Drive is part of a mirror
though so I am a little confused why it would take CM down. Need to
research that more and see if I can figure out a root cause.

Anyway, the issue I find more puzzling is why Unity quit working when
the Pub went down. Sub was up and phones worked, although we did
loose the directory but Unity stopped also.

Any tips on what I should look for or at? Unity shouldn't fail like
that when you loose one of your CM's right?

I seem to recall having this happen at the last place I was at. I
can't recall the fix though.

I am being vague I know and it would be hard to provide a direct
answer, looking more for just some starting points as to where and
what to look for.

Thanks!

Nope. Make sure your Unity TSP is configured to register to both CM
servers.
In CM make sure the device pool configured on the unity ports uses a
CMGroup that includes both pub and sub CM.

Do you have a unity failover pair? i.e. do you mean that unity failed
over when the CM pub went down?

Hope I'm not saying the obvious, but anyway it's up to two things in general
. Call Manager group and unity telephony integration.

The call manager group config, which is applied to the device pool so make s
ure the voice mail ports are in a device pool that has a group with both ser
vers in it.

As for unity integration, have the redundant server configured in UTIM.
