Dear Group:

Recently I accessed the microsoft NT chat site using a Win98 Second Edition 
operating system.  When I clicked on an archived chat item I incurred a fata
l error.  What a fatal error!!!

My system crashed and I could not reboot.  Checking the HD with a DOS emerge
ncy disk, I learned that neither the primary C:\ drive nor the 6 logical dri
ves had valid formatting.  This has caused me an enormous amount of difficul
ty for which I am angry wit
h microsoft.

What caused such a catastrophy?  How can I prevent a repeat?  Is the MS webs
ite intentionally toxic to Win98?  How can I get back my files from this sic
k HD?
