Hi, perhaps someone can help me out with this issue:

I need to add a new certificate to an existing CMS site.

I've assigned a new IP address to this site and have created an IIS web
application and pointed to the default directory to our wwwroot folder. I a
m
not using a Host Header on this site.

I've went into the CMS Configuration and set the Access point to Read/Right
on that particular web application.

The site will not open, I get an error on the Windows Authentication in the
web config file.

If I remove the web application from IIS the site loads, but it loads with
the incorrect SSL Cert when using HTTPS.

I am suprised at how difficult it is to get SSL running on more than one CMS
website so I surmise I am doing something wrong... I've read so many
different technical documents that seem straight forward and all, just can't
make it work.

What am I missing?

Any guidance would be great!

Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

SSL configuration is not a MCMS related topic.
MCMS is not even aware if SSL is being used or not as the decryption is done
by IIS before MCMS and ASP.NET see the request.

Please post such questions into an IIS related newsgroup.

Cheers,
Stefan
