Hello,

My webacam driver: sweex usb2.0 1.3 megapixel, 30 frames, seems to be
not detected at all. dmesg shows not the slightest hint to a webcam.

Use 0932:1100 and search the web for info about that USB device (first
is vendor and second is device numbers).

Vendors tend to change contents in devices without changeing name and
model, so it is not always easy to know which driver to use just from
name of device. But this numbers usally is good enough to identify
which device you have.

Well, if you have a microphone in it, you will have a sound device in
Linux.
So no, it's not that strange.

Good luck

Thanks.
The webcam has no (yet) found microphone .. ;-)
I searched around and finally found:
That i have bad luck:
http://alpha.dyndns.org/ov511/cameras.html#webcams
Sweex
USB 2.0 Webcam 1.3 Megapixel (K00-16620-e01on on cdrom)
N/A Crescentec DC1100 ??? No driver yet. Support is planned

My old Aiptek, given away to a friend because it supported win98, win2k
and not winxp, might have worked ... ;-(

Aiptek HyperVcam Home 10/0 OV511/OV511+ OV7610 or OV7620
Working

:-(

He replaced win9x with winxp, i guess i should ask ...
