speaking of torture are viruses. Do not open any SCR or EXE file **and don't
click a link to an SCR or EXE file** unless you know who it is from and
you're sure it's
safe.

These are starting to appear again too:

Corrective package and update posts claiming to be from Microsoft. They all
contain viruses. The more recent ones also contain code that automatically
runs the file, so if you see another one don't open the message at all.
Microsoft do not post upgrades on newsgoups and they also speak better
English than the idiot posing them!
