What I am trying to do, is create a custom section with PeopleFinder. RIght
now, we have "Contact Information" "Business Card" "Current Job".

I have tried following the directions below, but nothing seems to work. I am
probably not adding the proper information in the correct places.

Let's say I wanted to add a section called "Nick Name". In that section, we
will have only one searchable field 'Name'.

I was going to try changing the PeopleFinderUI_language_code.properties, but
there is more than one, and I'm not sure what to enter where.

Any guidance greatly appreciated.
This is the help text available for making changes to the available sections
in PeopleFinder Portlet:

Defining sections

By default, the Person Record and Advanced Search page include the sections
Contact Information, Current Job, and Background. You can add sections to us
e when you define the layout of the Person Record and the Advanced Search pa
ge. Sections that you add m
ust already be defined in the language-specific properties file (resource bu
ndle) of Cashman Phone Directory, PeopleFinderUI_language_code.properties. W
hen you add a section, you enter the resource key for a section name.

Prerequisite: Edit the resource bundle properties file, PeopleFinderUI_langu
age_code.properties, to add the resource keys for all sections in the Person
Record and Advanced Search page. For more information, search the Informati
on Center for topics on lan
guage support.

1. On the Configuration Overview page, under Shared Elements, click Sections
to display the task page.
2. For each section that you want to add in the Section name resource key fi
eld, type the resource key, and then click Add.
3. Optional: In the table of resource keys and display labels, click or to
order or delete sections.

Deleting a section also deletes the Person Record fields and the Advanced Se
arch queries and results.

Click OK.
On the Configuration Basics page, click Apply Changes Now.
