Hello Everyone,

We have an Export/Import process that runs daily in production, and on
occasion in our dev environment. The last 4 or some odd weeks, we
can't run this process in the dev environment. The export process
creates the sdo just fine, but the import fails:

REMOTE [http://<snip>:8607]
: importJob.ToString()[SITEDEPLOYCLIENTLib.CmsDeployImportClass]
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005): The remote
server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.
at
SITEDEPLOYCLIENTLib.CmsDeployImportClass.AuthenticateAsCurrentUser(String
strServerUrl)

This used to work just fine... and my account on the other server is
fine.

I can telnet to the IP:8607, type junk, and get a response back.
(port is up.)

I have restarted IIS.

I have rebooted.

I have checked all other accounts, mcmsadmin, etc.

I think I started getting 400 errors to /NR/System/Marshalling/
resstub.asp around 11/08/2007. I have no idea of anything that
changed on that server. No accounts, patches, etc. to my knowledge.

I don't have anything in the deleted item folder as per:
http://groups.google.com/group/micr...da15fd936ac00d6

On that server proper I can do a:
http://localhost:8607/NR/System/Marshalling/resstub.asp and produce
the 400, so the authentication code (which also hasn't changed)
shouldn't be to blame.

The virtual directory and file exist, so all seems well on that front.

The error in the server log is:
2007-12-14 05:21:41 127.0.0.1 1253 127.0.0.1 8607 HTTP/1.0 GET /NR/
System/Marshalling/resstub.asp 400 - Hostname -
2007-12-14 05:27:37 10.11.5.11 1669 10.11.5.74 8607 HTTP/1.1 POST /NR/
System/Marshalling/resstub.asp 400 - Hostname -
2007-12-14 05:27:37 10.11.5.11 1670 10.11.5.74 8607 HTTP/1.1 POST /NR/
System/Marshalling/resstub.asp 400 - Hostname -

So just proof that it made it across the wire.

I'm out of ideas for the time being... authentication has always been
windows. I have tried the other method for sending a username and
password as well, I'm just not getting past the 400...

Any ideas are very welcome!

Thank you,
J

Hi J,

you should open a support case to get this analyzed as this is not a known
issue.

Cheers,
Stefan
