ive a couple of compaq w2k servers backed up with ultrium drives - the
systems apparantly can boot from the tape drive

the hard disk setup is using raid adg with 4 disks, split as c: system
d: data

what product can create the bootable tape image?
is doing this advisable or a better alternative?
it will be in addition to the regular nightly backups of data only using
backup exec 9.

im basically after the quickest method of getting these systems up and
running after a major operating system wipeout .... the images would be
probably run a couple times per month and before any system changes, i
understand active directory has a 60 day tombstone but id probably use
the image to get up and running and then restore previous days system
state in a non authoritative restore

You can try Tapeware form Yosemite (www.yosemitetech.com).

This product is certified for Windows + certified by HP for Novell, Windows
and Linux environment with OBDR.
