Hi all,

I installed BTS2002 on a W2K server. BTS worked well.

Last week, we promote the W2K server as a domain controller. After that, I
can't get into the BTS Administration nor the BT Messaging Manager.

BTS Administrator error:
Insufficient permissions: The logged on user is not a member of the BizTalk
Server Administration Group....

BT Messaging Manager error:
You are not authorized to access Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002.

Where should I go so I can add the BTS Administrators group back into the
domain administrator group?

Thanks a lot.

Abel

Not sure if this will help as I am not too familiar with BTS2002.
However, if you are looking for the 'Users & Groups".
On a DC you will find this under the "Active Directory Users and Computers".

Thanks,

I tried but it doesn't help.

I created a new group called BizTalk Server Administrators and added domain
administrator as a member to this group. I logon as a domain administrator
but I still get the error message.

In a domain enviroment you need to use specific user account, that are
memeber of the domins and members of tha administrators of the local
machine(biztalk machine).
The the solution is:
-Create a new domain user account (ex Domain\Biztalk)
-Include the Biztalk Server in the domain, member of the domain
-Include the Biztalk domain account in the local administrators, biztalk
administrators of the local biztalk machine
-Change the biztalk services to start with these account, and xlang services
-Change the com+ apps (biztalk apps, xlang apps) to use this account
-Try with this changes
-If doesnt work then you need to add the user to SQL user of the 4 Biztalk
databases dbowner...

I suspect that the groups BTS was configured with no longer exist, after
creating the groups on the DC, is there somewhere in BTS2k2 that you can
change the config to the new groups you created?
