Hey all,

I'm currently migrating my Commerce Server 2002 site to FP1 and having some
issues. I've gone through the steps in the Installation guide. I unpacked th
e Fp1.pup file, using a custom install and doing both the catalog and discou
nt manager webservices. I r
an the catalogmigrationtool, on both my site, which completed succesfully, a
nd updated the authorizationstore xml file in the catalogwebservice director
y, which also completed succesfully. I've assigned the ASPNET account all th
e necessary permissions. I
installed both the Catalog and Discount tools. I have also copied over the n
ew Bizdesk files to my current bizdesk,w hich removed "Edit Catalog" and man
aging campaigns from the bizdesk.

However, when I start the new catalog tool, I create a new connection, direc
ting it to the path of where I installed the catalogwebservice. This connect
ion creates succesfully, but the "Manage Catalogs" option under "Tasks" is g
reyed out. No errors show u
p in the event viewer, and I can't tell what additional steps I have to do i
n order for it to be able to access my catalogs. Do I have to convert and re
-import my catalog from an xml file or something like that? I didn't run the
 Displayname conversion, wh
ich I will probably do at some point, but is that required to even view my c
atalog in the catalog manager?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Brian Newton

I figured this one out. I hadn't set up the proper user roles for my usernam
e using the Authorization Manager.
