I used to have a great website working on my private iis server with winxp p
ro without any service pack but when I changed to winxp sp2 almost nothing w
orks anymore.

My sites that have only html are viewed normaly, but if I have any ASP on it
 I get a "HTTP 500 - internal server error".

Does anybody have a clue as why is it happening and how to fix it?

Remember: it used to work perfectly!

Why don't you just read all the replies in the other newsgroup?

I haven't tried this solution - I saw it posted on another site - maybe it
will help you.

Open Start/Settings/Control Panel/Admin Tools/Component Services

Navigate to Component Services/Computers/My Computer/DCOM Config/IIS Admin
Service

Right click, select Properties

Select Security tab, set Launch and Activation Permissions to Use Default
