I used the EDI sending port to send the transformed edi file to a partner,
the input file is a xml file. after starting the orchastraion and post a xml
instance to the pickup location, I get the edi output from the location
which is specified in the sending port. However, when I check the message
status using HAT, the message status is "In Internal Format" instead of
"accepted by biztalk"

the error in Applicatio Log says "

Error encountered: ERROR (1030), interchangenr 10004 :

COM_SendMessage(): Cant make a connection to BizTalk for document #10004.
Errorcode is -1030 ()
"
and the error will emerge every minutes.

Any point I was missing?

what's the meanning of message status in EDI, Say internal format ?

Internal format should be the format the EDI adapter uses internally. When
data is passed through to the EDI adapter it goes to an IN folder off the
[documentshome] location, that's where it's in internal format. At leas
t
that's what I've been able to find on it so-far.

Can you run the Getting Started with EDI sample in BizTalk 2004 or does it
return these errors also? After this error occurs, can you process XML
files via BizTalk without errors?
By chance have you changed the port in properties for the send and receive
handler for EDI to something other than 11011?

the error disappears now;)

In Fact, there is something wrong with the user identity of the EDI
subsysterm service. My machine belongs to a domain, so i changed the user of
the service with a domain account, then everything works well.
