I defined a delimited, flat file record where the fifth field is the time
data type. The custom date format is defined as HHmm.
When I validate an instance of the data, the time field in the data has the
value=0433. When I run the validate instance, I'm getteing an error message
that the time is not in the proper format.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Linda

I would recommend to generate an instance based on your schema and compare t
he result against your input file. Normally properties for custom date forma
t HHmm and DataType xs:time should work.

I hope it helps,

Linda,

If you're still having problems, please attach your schema and test
instance files to another post for us to take a look at.

Thank you,
Dave
