With all due respect Howard, if you are that unfamiliar with
Usenet, perhaps you should not be posting criticism of how
other use or misuse it. Eh?
You are posting with Outhouse Express, perhaps one of the
worst examples of Usenet software. I have no clue about
how to set headers with that particular program.
What you need is RFC-1036, "Standard for Interchange of USENET
Messages". You can find the entire document (and others) at
<http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1036.txt?number=1036>.
2.2.3. Followup-To
This line has the same format as "Newsgroups". If present,
follow-up messages are to be posted to the newsgroup or
newsgroups listed here. If this line is not present,
follow-ups are posted to the newsgroup or newsgroups listed
in the "Newsgroups" line.
If the keyword poster is present, follow-up messages are not
permitted. The message should be mailed to the submitter of
the message via mail.
