For what its worth, we had problems with dissapearing images on our CMS
install too. After we installed CMS SP1a, we were not completely sure if all
images had been fixed or not (images broken prior to install of the SP1a
remained broken) however after some time has gone by it appears that SP1a
fixed the problem. The support case that we opened with MS Support (who were
very very helpful) has been closed on the basis that SP1a appears to have
fixed the problem.
